Objectives

That the student is able to:
• identify the reality of the social security system;
• recognize the legal framework of social security;
• describe the historical evolution of social security law;
• define the concept of social security;
• identify the nature of the right to Social Security;
• identify the crisis and social security reform;
• discriminate the sustainability of social security;
• List the legal relationships of Social Security
• define the various social security schemes;
• apply and analyze the knowledge acquired.

Teaching Metodology

In order to comply with what is required in curriculum development and to meet the proposed objectives, several teaching / learning methodologies are followed. The expository class is not exempt, where the debate of ideas and the expression of well-founded opinion is a constant, with the critical analysis of legislation, judgments and other documents. At the same time, the legal resolution of proposed problems allows a very close contact with the reality of work and with the difficulties and steps that are being overcome in a real context, through case studies. To accompany this process, the student is encouraged to research and promote independent study, research on relevant jurisprudence and the accomplishment of a work, with selection and collection of sources / bibliography, location of sources and obtaining of material, construction of the Work plan and its presentation / discussion.

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit's objectives

The identification of the reality of the SS system is achieved through the study of the Introd .. Recognize the ord. Jurd. Of SS is possible with the study of ch. I. The description and historical evolution. Of the dir. Of the SS is achieved through chapter II of the program. With the study of chapter III the student will be able to define the concept and identify the nature of law. To identify the crisis and the reform of the SS, it is necessary to study Chapter IV. Chapter V empowers the student to discriminate against the sustainability of social security. Chapter VI is essential to define the various SS regimes. The application and analysis of the acquired knowledge is done in the practical classes, where practical cases are solved, and also through the research of bibliography and jurisprudence as well as through the elaboration of written work.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's objectives

For all the learning objectives the expository method is used with debate of ideas and expression of informed opinion. It should be added that, in order to identify the reality of the social security system, to recognize the legal framework of social security, to identify the crisis and the reform of social security and to discriminate against the sustainability of social security, And criticism of legislation, judgments and other documents. To list the legal relationships of social security and to define the different social security systems is recourse to the legal resolution of problems. For the application and analysis of the acquired knowledge the methodology of case study and the elaboration of written work is used. The tutorial orientation, which accompanies the student's autonomous study, allows a closer contact in order to achieve the objectives with greater success.
